Data Recovery Freeware Review - Free Undelete

Data Recovery Freeware
Free Undelete is a data recovery freeware that allows (in some cases) to recover files deleted by mistake on NTFS partition, (which is proposed by default in Windows XP.) (Note: Free Undelete not work with FAT16 or FAT32 partitions, in such cases it displays the message "undelete is not supported." You can get the file system used on a disk by selecting Properties from the context menu in Windows Explorer.)

The deletion of a file is done by freeing space he occupied previously, but the data which it is composed, however, are stored until another file will be stored. If the removal is recent, it is sometimes possible to recover files deleted by mistake.

Before proceeding with the recovery of a file, the editor suggests to limit or stop all activities on this disc to preserve the integrity of data deleted (details).

To retrieve data, you must first scan, the Scan button, the disk containing the file erased. All files are displayed, but it's possible to filter by name or extension. With a single click on the button Undelete, you can then retrieve the selected files and place them in the specified folder at the bottom of the interface.
